Solution Lead

Position Summary

The Solution Lead is responsible for translating business requirements and the overall technology solution into a detailed design. The Solution Lead works under the direction of the Solutions Architect to build the functional system configuration, document the detailed design requirements and provide quality assurance in delivery of system enhancements, data migrations, interfaces and reports to ensure that the overall product complies with the original design requirements and is fit for purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in and lead business process assessment and future state business process definition
  • Create future state process flow charts
  • Identify, document and prioritize design requirements
  • Work with Solution Architect to finalize functional design approach and write functional design specifications
  • Define and build baseline system configuration including workflows, views, pick list and other configuration values, user setup and security setup
  • Identify test scenarios, develop test scripts, and execute testing in support of system and user acceptance testing
  • Test new application changes to ensure that they are fit for purpose, comply with the detailed functional design documents and meet end user needs
  • Work with end user community to complete testing activities and provide knowledge transfer and informal training to users
  • Maintain any required certifications and continuing education necessary to understand new product release capabilities
  • Coordinate with training resources to provide guidance on the overall configuration, solution design, and future state business processes to be incorporated into customer training
  • Coordinate with training resources to design the training program including content and delivery mechanisms and participate in the delivery of customer training where required
  • Participate in pre-sales activities within area of expertise where requested
